Context:
In the Goals section, tasks are organized into sections, making everything look neat and orderly. Each section groups related tasks together. However, when planning tasks in the calendar (Upcoming > Calendar) using the "All Tasks" sidebar, things get messy. Even though you can filter by a specific goal, if that goal has many tasks, the sidebar just shows all tasks in a long list, without the sections. Using the "manual" sort doesn’t keep the order from the Goals section.
If you use the "name" sort, you’d have to number your tasks to keep them in order, which quickly becomes tedious. Example:
For the "How to use Griply" goal in the Griply demo (which has many tasks), if you try to plan using the calendar—all tasks just show up as a flat list, out of order, no matter the sort option. Suggestions:
Could we have a way to see the same sections from the Goals area in the All Tasks sidebar? This would keep things organized and less overwhelming, letting you plan by section, not just by individual task.
Or could we add a calendar/planner view within each goal, so tasks can be planned directly from inside the goal where they're already organized?
May use subgoals for everything so we can shorten list of tasks inside goal? we can also select subgoals in filters to shorten or show focused list of related tasks
Or may be in filter option, add abiltiy select section like we are able to subgoals inside goals, so it only shows 1 section of tasks?
Not sure what the best solution is, but wanted to share this problem in case someone has ideas or knows a workaround
