Projects in Griply

How projects could fit inside Griply:

  • Goals are (measurable) outcomes

    • Currently goals are also used for projects which clutters the goal page. Once we have projects goals should ideally only be used to define (measurable) outcomes.

  • Projects represent the "execution" layer.

    • Projects are groups of tasks that push your goals forward (currently, people use subgoals for this purpose).

    • Projects can also be used without linking them to a goal (ideal for home project, or projects from work that don't link to your personal goals).

  • Subgoals are still relevant as they can be used to break your main goal into measurable sub results

Example of hierarchy:

  • Life area

    • Goal (advanced with subgoals)

      • Subgoal

        • project

        • project

      • Subgoal

        • project

  • Goal (simpler structure)

    • project

    • project

  • Project (no parent goal)
