I find that priority can vary a lot per day/week, and I would find it helpful to be able to bump a recurring task up to a higher (or lower) priority, but have it reset to a default priority on completion.
For example, carting my big outdoor trash bin out to the road for pickup happens weekly and is a low priority usually. But if the trash can is really full or smelly one week I might bump it to a high priority to make sure it gets handled. But I don’t want future iterations to start out as high priority, so it would be great to have it reset to low priority after completion.
