Add a "Someday" / "Not Yet" designation and section

The Problem

Projects accumulate tasks that can't be tackled for weeks, months, or longer. These fill the active task list, creating visual clutter that makes it harder to focus on what actually needs attention now. The cognitive load of constantly seeing irrelevant tasks slows down project processing and increases overwhelm.

The Solution

Add a "Not Yet" (or "Someday") task status within the existing scheduling dialogue. This creates a backlog system visible when needed, hidden when not.

How It Works

  • Within projects/areas: Tasks marked "Not Yet" drop below active tasks into their own section with visually distinct checkboxes (dotted circles, grayed out, etc.). This section can toggle on/off.

  • Global view: A dedicated “Someday” or "Not Yet" menu item shows all backlogged tasks across projects, making periodic review and promotion to active status straightforward.

Why This Matters

Every task manager faces the same core challenge: visual overwhelm from seeing more than we can currently handle. This feature dramatically reduces that stress by letting users defer without losing track, keeping the active workspace clean and cognitively manageable.
