I put my thoughts/to do in Inbox, it was a bit long, but when I press enter, it vanished

where is it now? I am so frustrated! I missed my idea, now it's gone forever. Now I have to do it all over again but it's not complete and not the exact same idea. Pressing enter means saving right, not vanished?! Goshhh
