Some recurring tasks cannot be dragged to the calendar side panel

Some of my recurring tasks I can drag to the calendar view perfectly fine.

Some I cannot. I can manually set a time on the occurrence (and then they do appear in the calendar), but that requires typing in the hours and is thus quite the hassle.

For context, I'll often plan parts of my day by dragging "similar" tasks to approximately the same time slot, forming kind of a block. For some purposes I can work around this using a tag or project instead, but in some cases neither is really the best option. I like the visual cue of "batch these tasks together" so I find it frustrating when some of them cannot be dragged, especially since as far as I can tell there is no indication that a task is "affected" by this issue until I try doing it.

I can't figure out what the pattern is - at first I thought it might be recurring tasks vs habits, then I thought it's weekly vs monthly - it doesn't seem like it's either of these consistently. I also checked whether setting a task duration on the schedule (without a start time) helps - it doesn't (it works as far as the block a dragged task take up, but for a task where dragging doesn't work, it doesn't make it work). I haven't tried re-creating the tasks (in case they are affected due to existing before some changes were made) - if that's the solution and I have to recreate them, then I'll do so, but it's quite a hassle and I don't know whether it will resolve the problem.
