Kanban Goal

My Problem:

I have too many goals which clutter my timeline goal view. I am struggling through the following modes

  • Gant optimistic - I add dates for smaller subgoals but in practice they take a lot longer and then Im moving goals on the m/q view further down the line. So Goals that are not yet really started, I should not give date yet.

  • No distinction - However, when I add not dates the list of goals I would like to start becomes too long. So I would lik to have something like a ready column/tag such that I can see what is currently in progress and what is will be comming. So Ideally I would like to finish as much as possible and not start new ones.

My kinda solution (I think)

  • Only create very small goals (week long), those I can plan somewhere in time. Then for that week I focus only on that goal.

  • In obsidian outside griply, I keep an overview off the projects/goals (same thing) I like to start and which need to be finished

My proposed griply solution

  • Workaround with current functionality - allow to group on a tag. Give Goals tags

  • When tagging is a thing, add a kanban view.
